Vanilla Ice-Cream The basic recipe to which you can add as many variations as your imagination permits! The Lexus Ice Cream Maker makes this otherwise tedious procedure remarkably simple.

Appliances Required : Ice Cream Maker

Ingredients
  • 1 eggs yolk
  • 4 tablespoons cold milk
  • 200 mls heavy or whipped cream, chilled
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
Method
  1. Put the egg yolk and milk into the Ice Cream Maker attachment. Switch on the pulse switch for a few seconds.

  2. Add the rest of the ingredients.

  3. Switch the machine on. It will take between 1-3 minutes to mix the ingredients for freezing. You should no longer be able to see the central cone in the machine.

  4. Pour the mixture into the given moulds and freeze. The Ice Cream should be ready in 4-5 hours. Keep out for about 10 minutes to allow the ice cream to soften before serving.
Notes : To make vanilla ice cream with chocolate chips in it, grate a bar of chocolate. (This is easiest done with the Mixer Grinder to the consistency you want. Fold it in after the ice cream has thickened lightly, which should take about 3 hours. Refreeze till firm).
